The rabbis teach that the Torah became physical at creation. The art scroll commentary on the Torah tells us this:
“With the event of creation, the Torah assumed physical garb just as the soul clothes itself in a human body to assume earthly life.” So here is the principle: the Torah became physical at the Creation event.
This idea is further reinforced in the book of John: “In the beginning was the Word (Torah), and the Word (Torah) was with God and the Word (Torah ) was God. And the Word (Torah) was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1: 1, 14
